Sujet - Subject: CL - reporting live, next part IP: 3093_0.clargo
hi all,
yesterday we did the trip with the catamaran. the iguanas are fine, but the coral reef is a mess :-I
today we rent a scooter and went to all the hotels. so, from east to west:
caprichio is DEAD. there is NOTHING left. pix will be on monday or tuesday next week (25th/26th).
iguana is still very damaged, far from beeing reopened soon.
isla del sur is open, and running - animation and "big fun"- well, nothing for us, we are happy with sol club. we didnt investigate further how much of isla del sur is running.
villa coral - a few houses are up and running.
villa soledad - see iguana. this will take a LONG time still ...
pelicano - one third of the houses are completely destroyed, the pool still a mess - see iguana.
lindamar - the western part looks better, as said, may be opened by 2 months. we looked inside the huts, and there needs to be done a lot still. the eastern part --> see iguana.
thats it, if there's anything u want to know or me to find out, please answer here, I dont have enough time (and money ;-)) to check out my mail right now ...
greets

Hello siegfried , thank you for keeping us informed from Cayo Largo!
Do you remember the name of the catamaran you took? Have you seen if the small catamaran CIPREY is still operating? I hope it was not destroyed during the hurricane. I emailed the marina but didn't receive any reply yet.
We are very curious and are looking forward to see everything with our own eyes, and to discuss with the cubans about the hurricane itself, the consequences, future plans, human impact, etc.
